A_BAILIFFS_DIARY

stevehicks2.jpgHello new and old members to the 2008 bailiff’s diary. For those who do not know me, my name is Steve Hicks and I am the Head Bailiff for the Waltonians.

I thought I would dust the cob webs off my rods this week and get myself on the banks. I have not been fishing since last October as my wife has given birth to a little girl so fishing had to be put on hold, well for a bit anyway. I did an 8 hour session on Saturday 26th it was a very cold day and Teggs at times looked like an inland sea. My first bite came at about 11am, which I am sorry to say was not a Carp but a Bream!

I ended the session at 4.30pm with 5 Bream all around the 6lb mark and all caught in deep open water on my special yellow pop ups which those in the know caught a lot of fish on last year. If anybody wants to know just give me a bell, believe me they work.

I have started the winter feeding programme again putting 25 kgs to 40 kgs of feed in per week. This will hopefully keep the fish on the munch and at a good weight.

Can I remind all members to:-

Hope to see you on the bank soon, so have a brew ready. I will keep you informed with catch reports and what’s going on around the waters.

Bye for now and tight lines
